Squawkin' Hawk

"SQUAWKIN' HAWK" became the first B-17 Flying Fortress of the 100th Bomb Group to fly 50 missions. In celebration, every square inch of its outer skin was covered with names and autographs of men of the 100th Bomb Group.

SQUAWKIN’ HAWK took its name from a Merrie Melodies animated cartoon, released in 1942 featuring a feisty young chicken hawk determined to seize some prey.
